Pinhole Lens & Bolex Motor

whole apparatustop view of control box for motormotor with bolexclose up where motor fits into bolexside view of pinhole lensfront on pinhole lens

This project came out of conversations with Sherman George and others about translating pinhole photography to motion-picture film, and about how to build a motor which would provide control over the duration of the exposure of each frame.

Excerpt from some of the first tests. This dirt that appears to be fixed in place shows just how close the pinhole allows you to focus!
These videos requires Quicktime 7 (free download here).

Short film from the first pinhole test–before I understood the need for a motor, and/or built one. The film in this move was hand-processed in a sink. P.S. There is NO sound in this one.
